How do I clean my brick patio?
Depending on what is staining your patio, may depend on how best to clean it. In some cases, you may be able to remove stains with a pressure washer. It is best to wear rubber gloves and waterproof boots while using a pressure washer. If you have a tough stain, such as a build up of mildew and other grime, apply detergent (only use a detergent that is specified for pressure washer use) to your mix and let this sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Clean your deck or patio from the house (or structure) outwards. You may notice a white residue, (efflorescence), after cleaning and drying. This can be easily removed by scrubbing with soapy water and cleaning brush; it's not recommended to use your pressure washer to attempt to remove this as this can make matters worse.
